Fellowship 2012

The Fellowship Arts Challenge was an annual event across Waltham Forest from 2007 to 2012. Creative workshops in schools were commissioned by the Arts and Events Team (Waltham Forest Council) and delivered by local artists.

Dee worked on this annual project between 2008 and 2012. Each year in the summer term, she worked in schools for morning or afternoon sessions, or over several weeks for an after school club, alongside community groups and a home education group. Each year the project explored a different theme.

The art work created in the workshops was shown in a group exhibition and open to the public. Different venues were used and for the last couple of years the art works were exhibited in Langthorne Park in Leytonstone.

  • The 2010 Fellowship Art Challenge exhibition took place in a Marquee in the centre of Walthamstow. I supported groups including primary schools, SEN school, and a home learning group to make artworks and a film for the exhibition.
